PREVIOUS POST:  The King County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for the gunman who shot and killed a man Thursday afternoon near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

The shooting occurred just after 4 p.m. near South 154th Street and 24th Avenue South, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Cindi West. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found one man on the ground next to the road, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.  Deputies were told another man was seen running from the scene.

That man was found in a wooded area just northwest of where the shooting occurred. Deputies questioned him and determined he was not the gunman and had been riding in the victim’s car, West said.

Witnesses told detectives that the victim’s vehicle was eastbound on South 154th Street when an unknown male opened fire from another car, West said. The driver of the first car was struck and the passenger in that vehicle fled.

Detectives said both men are from the Federal Way area and are in their 20s. West said no additional information would be released Friday.
