Program Description:
This session will include a discussion of stone varieties, properties, and limitations. Once an understanding of those properties is achieved, the session will advance to address performance and limitation parameters that influence selection decisions. The presentation will also explore the variety of methods available for installation of natural stone products, including adhered and anchored options. The longer December 5 session will go more deeply into a comprehensive discussion of anchorage devices, including advantages and disadvantages of adhered and anchored options in both field application efficiencies and performance. Explanation of the interdependence between the stone facade system and related curtain wall components will complete this technical presentation.
