Lucky Christmas was a short, sexy holiday romance. While this is book four in the Possessed series it can be read as a standalone. That said, I haven't read the other books in this series. And while I had no trouble following along when characters from the last book made an appearance, my interest was definitely tickled. As soon as I get caught up on my current reading, I plan to read book three which features James' sister and her husbands.
James and Gigi.....
James is described as a bit of a Grinch. And while he was grumpy and impatient with Gigi at times, I did not view him to be that selfish, green holiday miser. I actually liked James right from the beginning. Gigi was sweet; a lovely character. While she had attention issues and could be hypersensitive, I did not judge her by that. People are born with issues that don't make them bad, just different. In fact, Gigi was downright perfect and I was completely endeared to her.
Circumstances bring Gigi and James together during a snowstorm. It is during that time, they realize their feelings for each other are strong and not going away. I don't want to tell you anything more since this book is so short. You will just have to read and find out how things end on your own. I will say I loved James and Gigi's happily-ever-after. Not only did luck and a snowstorm bring them together, but their future is going to be merry and bright. Ok, that was probably cheesy, but I meant it.

Lucky Christmas is the fourth book in the Possessed Series.
This is a short, quick Christmas story with a lot of steam.
You get an OTT alpha (once he pulled his head out of his butt) and an extremely sweet yet out spoken heroine who I feel should have made him work harder at getting her despite feelings.
All in all it was a good read. I might be in the minority here, but to me it just felt like something was missing I will continue to read this author though because she's an awesome writer and I've loved everything else I've read of hers so far.
Would I read again - Maybe.

This is a super quick novella read that packs quite a super steamy punch and it’s a such an amazing Christmas read. I don't want to give any spoilers away but I adore how possessive James gets with Gigi. I hated how everyone always treated Gigi like there's something wrong with her just because she has ADHD. James never realized that him trying to stay away from her, she always thought he,too, felt the same way the other felt as well. James is determined to show Gigi that isn't true and he's going to give them both a "Lucky Christmas" that they soon won't forget.
What a sizzling, sweet, sassy, fierce, moving novella that will have the reader rooting for Gigi and James.

4 star review of Lucky Christmas: A Novelette (The Possessed Series Book 4) by KL Donn
KL Donn is a new author to me. I have not read any of her books and although this is book 4 I had no problem reading Lucky Christmas as a stand alone.
James is a bit of a Grinch where as Gigi would be an Elf, two totally opposite views, but ones that came together to make a Merry Christmas.
This was a really fast, quick and smoking hot read which I enjoyed. James and Gigi tugged at my hear from the start and I was invested in them getting their happily ever after. I will say I thought the sudden turn around by James was a tad fast, but since he has had feelings for Gigi for quite some time is was explained away easily enough; it did not detract from my enjoyment at all.
My heart just about broke for Gigi at times as she admitted how alone she often feels. James learns that her boyfriend has dumped her and decides the time is right and makes his move. I felt such empathy for Gigi as she felt as though her true dreams could never come true because she is such an annoying nuisance to those around her.
I loved that James realised that in trying to keep his distance and his true feelings form Gigi he had actually caused her pain. It was great to see him take responsibility and commit to doing better in the future.

I wasn't sure what to expect before going in but... It was sweet, warm and enjoyable story. It's a perfect quick read for upcoming holidays.

This maybe a super quick read but that doesn’t mean this novelette doesn’t pack a mighty punch it’s a great Christmas read. James is normally more of a grinch than Santa but that’s all about to change when he agrees to help a friends sister out. Gigi isn’t perfect she is always sad around this time of year and she has ADHD but that doesn’t stop her trying to work the magic of Christmas and I have to say I loved how protective James became of her even though he knew she should be off limits......
I understand Gigi and James are characters from previous books but I haven’t read the previous books in this series so I’m really proof that this quick read can be read as a stand-alone. This Christmas story featuring The Grinch and The Elf will give you all the right feels and it certainly left me wanting to back track and read the rest of this series.

Lucky Christmas
I love this series! And I love everything about James and Gigi’s story. Everyone deserves a Merry Christmas and when James finds out that Gigi has been let down this Christmas he hopes that he will get lucky enough to be the one to give her that Merry Christmas. Gigi never thought that she would ever have a chance with her brother’s sexy partner James, especially since whenever they’re around each other he seems so annoyed. Her ADHD has given her some insecurities that are hard to overcome. But when James comes nocking on his door and taking what he has wanted they definitely both get a Very Lucky Christmas!

James Wallace doesn’t enjoy the holidays, so when his friend and partner talks him into playing Santa for a local kid’s club holiday party, he is less than thrilled. Things go from bad to worse when he arrived ready to go only to find out the party was cancelled and he is now snowed in with the woman who was supposed to play the part of his elf.
Georgina “Gigi” Grant wants nothing more than to be lucky in love, but she knows her quirky personality isn’t what most men are looking for. She’s completely unprepared for the grumpy Santa that shows up at her door, but when the snow starts to fall, the heat starts to rise. Once James takes Gig in his arms, maybe they’ll both find they are lucky in love this Christmas!
What I loved most about this novella was that James and Gigi had both secretly had crushes on each other for years, but never acted on them. Being younger than him, James felt Gig was off limits. Her cute but quirky personality can also be seen as off-putting to those that don’t understand her. I loved that being forced to unexpectedly spend time together let James see Gigi for who she truly is so that he could fall hard and fast for her and give them both the holiday HEA they deserve. 4 stars!

I loved the latest from KL Donn! While this is a quick read it is definitely full of all the things that make her books amazing, the heat, the chemistry, amazing characters and some funny moments. Gigi and James have known each other for while, but both denied the pull they felt because of the connection they both have, in different ways, to her brother. Yet one snow storm changes everything in huge ways for them both. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.

James is more of a Grinch then Santa. Too bad his partner and best friend roped him into playing Santa for his little sister at her job, the girl that is off limits, Gigi. It has been easier to act like she annoys him so he can keep his feelings a secret. All that changes when he finds out her boyfriend dumped her and he sees how much that and James' treatment of her have beaten her down. Will Gigi trust that his change of heart is for real?
Oh my gosh, I absolutely adore K.L. Donn and Lucky Christmas gave me all the holiday feels! Gigi and what she has gone through just put a lump in my throat. She is so sweet and caring and keeps getting kicked in the teeth. Once James really looked at Gigi and how his and others treatment has affected her, he goes all in. He was just a doll to her and Gigi just blossomed. I read this in one sitting and it deserves more than 5 stars! Ten stars for Lucky Christmas!

I love this Christmas story and how it can bring even a grinch like James into the Christmas mood with the help of Gigi. To find love like that after being pushed away by that person it amazing and shows that you never really know how someone feels about you until your snowed in...lol. Awesome Job KL Donn. Can’t wait to see what is going to happen next.

Arc review: For Christmas novella in the lost and found series. Gigi is getting ready for Christmas and playing elf at the boys and girls club. But Santa is a friend of her brother and detective who is more of a Grinch then Santa. This is a fun hot Christmas story perfect for the holidays. Its Lucky for all of us to get to read this book.

This was a quick, sweet holiday read. GiGi and James are characters readers have seen in previous books from this author but if you are not familiar with them, it can be read and you won't be missing anything. I breezed through this book and loved that GiGi was not your usual perfect character. She had her flaws and short-comings, but she was so lovable.

Lucky Christmas is a super short Christmas story that I really enjoyed. Whilst I have read books by this author before they weren’t from The Possessed Series however I fully understood what was going on and it has definitely got me wanting to read more about James!
I liked James and Gigi, I particularly found Gigi’s character interesting and really felt for her that people didn’t give her the time that she deserved. Although James wasn’t particularly nice to her at the beginning I could tell that he secretly loved her!
I think if you have read any of this series previously then this will be a must read for you and if like me you haven’t then it can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone and will without doubt make you want to read the rest of the series!!

OMG What an amazing story. James and Gigi I just love them both. KL Donn has another winner on her hands, Once you start you won’t be able to put the book down, James and Gigi have so much chemistry, passion and love for each other they just have to do something about it. A great book to curl up with in front of the fire for a romantic Love Story. 5 well earned STARS.

Holy hot Christmas! *claps hands excitedly!! I have wanted more of James since I read Lost and Found. Thank you KL, again you delivered tenfold! I have inhaled this novelette in an evening and loved every word! I couldn't put it down.
This book gave me ALL the Christmassy feels! Be still my heart! No spoilers so I highly suggest that you read this and find out for yourself the magic of KL's words and Christmas! A heady combination!

I have to admit, Christmas is NOT my favorite holiday. I'm more like the Grinch that's all "hate, hate, hate, LOATHE entirely," whenever December starts to roll around. There is one thing I like about this holiday though.... the Christmas novellas! The perfect thing to get you from Grinch to a Who from Whoville is a short, sweet read with ALLLLL the feels.
KL Donn delivers!
Although this is part of the "Possessed" series, you don't need to read it to understand this book... though you really should. I admit, I didn't read book three so was slightly confused because I kept thinking "Wait... do I know these people?" This, of course, made me go buy the third in the series once I realized I didn't know them and I absolutely needed to!
On to the characters.
James is an alpha-ahole denying his feelings for the woman who matters more than anything in the world to him, Georgina. The problem? Gigi is his partner's younger sister which puts her in the "TOTALLY OFF LIMITS " box. So, like any male with pent up emotions, he turns into a total d--- you get the picture.
Gigi is a sweet young woman with the biggest crush on the man who seems to continually hurt her. Even though he's rude and sometimes cruel, she can't get him off her mind. She works hard to move past him, because she's not a doormat hello, but it doesn't help she sees him everywhere. When he shows up at her door dressed like Santa and ranting and raving? Oh HECK no.
One thing about KL, she can give you sweet and fierce all in the same heroine. Heroines that are trying to over come hardships, and sometimes those hardships are darker than expected (this one isn't dark!!!), they continually fight. Just because the man they've loved from afar walks into their homes and says "Sorry" doesn't mean they're forgiven...
This was one of my favorite Christmas novellas EVER. (Maybe because of the Grinch reference? He's my fave.) It's a sit-down-can't-put-it-down kind of read. A read in a day (or an hour if you're psycho like me) kind of read. One that leaves you PANTING for more. Is it fast? Yes. Is it too short? Duh. Is it worth the five stars? And then some.

I've never read K.L. Donn's possessed series so I went in totally blind. This is the 4th book in the series, James is a detective and his partner has asked him to help his little sister cheer up some kids by playing Santa. Not on board at first, James changes his mind when he learns from his sister ( Gigi's bff) that she recently broke up with her boyfriend. Gigi has always been different, being diagnosed with ADHD when she was in high school, made her self conscious around every one. Especially James, who she has had a crush on for years. How Lucky will this Christmas really be?
I enjoyed it for the most part, like i previousoy stated, i have not read this series so i went in blind. I felt so bad for Gigi and what she went through, especially because of how much she wanted to be with James. I'm sure that you see more of them in the earlier books but coming in late i felt really disappointed in James' behavior towards her for so many years and the fact that she can so easily forgive him shows the depth of her feelings for him. James stated that he also had feelings for her and hid them by being mean, and to hear that coming from him was sad, because he knew she had a disability that made it difficult for her to function daily, so he essentially made her feel worse for something she couldn't help, for so long. Although it's mentioned that Gigi recently broke up with her boyfriend, its hinted at that he said some horrible things to her, but we don't find out what was actually said. I'm usually not a fan of best friend little sister stories only because they've known eachother for so long and have both seen eachother with other people. Although it isn't mentioned I'm sure that James has been with others while he was secretly in love with Gigi. This is definitely not the story of an Alpha man. But it was a good read and ***I'm very thankful to have gotten the chance to read it for free in exchange for a honest review***.

Five Jojojo – stars! Such a perfect read for Xmas time!
Jojojo! Wow! K.L. Donn never stops to surprise me. She has done it again. Lucky Christmas is a stunning addition to The Possession Series. It has all the feels for a read on the Christmas time. It is an intense and beautiful masterpiece wrapped with hope, love, strong feelings and it is perfectly set on the Christmas season. Such a wonderful combination because who doesn’t love Christmas and reading a good book.
This book is a cosy and steamy journey where the main characters expose their true feelings and surrender themselves to the attraction they felt since they met. A snowy day will testify the passion and love of the lovers. The temptation to fall in each other arms will erase any line drawn because some stupid rule. James and Gigi meant to be together since the beginning but they lost time and now it time to recover everything. Because love comes in any form and can’t be denied for long.
I spent a good time while reading this book. I devoured each page like a ravenous book addict. I kept turning pages until the last chapter. The story inside the pages of this masterpiece was incredible addictive and so good. I didn’t want to finish it but all the good things have an end. It amazed me how easy and smooth was my reading. There is so much passion and love that made me drool over my seat. I had a dreamy face all over this week! My heart ached a bit because of Gigi but it recovered as soon as James claimed her as his woman. This couple gave all the feels and so much hope about love.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have a weakness for super sweet, insta-love romance stories. This will be one of those books that I keep on stand-by for those days when I need to just sit back and get lost in a book that has zero amount of angst and will cause my brain to turn into mush. Actually, KL Donn has two books in that list now. This one, and another called, Safe, In His Arms.
This woman is a fierce writer. She gives us crazy sexy with her MFMs, super sweet with a side of extra toothpaste with books like this, and then tosses us into the dark side without a flashlight with some of her more…angsty books. Did you know she even has an MMF book in there somewhere?
What I love about this book is that it brings awareness to ADHD. I read a lot of books that bring awareness to mental illness. It’s one of my favorites. ADHD is bypassed most of the time. My son has it and I know how hard it is on the individual. How different they feel and act from everyone else. Definitely love that she did this.
So, get some hot coco, turn on your Christmas Tree lights, grab a comfy blanket, curl up in your favorite reading place and get to reading. It’s a short read. But, it’s a beautiful one!

If you're looking for a super steamy, super sweet and super quick holiday read, Lucky Christmas needs to be on your kindle right this second. KL brings us book 4 in the Possessed series and although it's a quick novella, it still brings all the warm and fuzzies.
James and Gigi are not exactly friends to lovers. They're not best friend's sister either. They're trope is sort of a blend - she's his partner's sister. There's an instant attraction when they meet, but then neither act on those feelings for quite a while due to the whole partners thing. With that being said, their guards come down when he shows up at her house wearing a Santa suit demanding some answers.
This story brings the steam and it brings it fast. Can I get a Hallelujah? So don't worry your pretty little head, KL brings the toe curling zings and you're going to be oh so satisfied. Scouts honor. Seriously, I was a Girl Scout for all of 3 years. My honor is legit.
Even though this is a quick read, it's still written beautifully and the characters are still incredibly relatable and likable. You will be hooked from page one and will be singing "baby it's cold outside" when you finish (because that song is NOT offensive and this is the perfect naughty Christmas story). And that epilogue? LOVED IT!

Lucky Christmas is book four in the possessed series. This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I read this book within half an hour and was satisfied throughout. I just wish that it were a little longer. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable (especially the heroine) and the storyline entertaining. It took me a little while to like James. I thought he was a massive jerk and didn’t deserve Georgina at first. I understood why he was the way he was but I hated the way he spoke to her at first. I truly wanted to kick him at one point. That being said, I liked that he finally let Georgina into his heart and went after the woman he loved. I really liked Georgina. My heart ached for her. She never felt accepted due to her ADHD. She had loved James for years but because of the way he treated her, she thought he hated her. Despite James being a jerk at first, the chemistry between him and Georgina was clear to see. I loved them as a couple and I loved seeing James accept Georgina’s quirks and love them.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable festive read.
