Abu Dhabi - ADNOC Distribution announced the opening of two new Xpress stations, marking the completion of the phase one of the construction of its Xpress station network. Launched to serve the most congested areas and roads in Abu Dhabi city and its suburbs, the Xpress station concept focuses exclusively on petrol fuelling services. A total of 10 stations have now been opened under phase one of the project.

The newly opened stations include Al Zahiyah station, located behind Abu Dhabi Distribution Company on Al Falah Street Abu Dhabi, and Al Raha station, located near Al Raha Gardens housing community in Khalifa City opposite Al Raha beach area.

Al Zahiyah station features three dispensers that offer two fuel varieties – Special 95 and E-Plus 91, with a capacity to serve 6 vehicles simultaneously, whereas Al Raha station features two dispensers that offer Special 95 and E-Plus 91, with a capacity to serve 4 vehicles at the same time.

Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said: "We are pleased with the completion of phase one of this key project, which represents a new concept bringing efficiency and flexibility to the refuelling process. Since the beginning of 2017, ADNOC Distribution has announced the opening of 9 service stations and 10 ADNOC Xpress stations. As part of its development plan for the current year, the company aims to open a further 25 new service stations across the UAE and 10 additional ADNOC Xpress stations in Abu Dhabi and its peripheral areas.

The initial ADNOC Xpress network consists of stations in Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Shakhbout City, Khalifa City, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street, Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Street and Delma Street in Abu Dhabi.
