Video Shows Time Traveler Using 21st Century Camera Phone At Mike Tyson Fight In 1995, Conspiracy Theorists Claim [Video]

A viral video claims to show a spectator at a heavyweight boxing match held in 1995 between Mike Tyson and Peter McNeely using a 21st century camera phone to snap photos during the fight. According to out-of-place artifact conspiracy theorists, the video is proof of time travel because camera phones were not yet available to the consumer market in 1995.

The video, first uploaded to YouTube on September 18, 2015, appears to show a member of the audience holding up an object in a manner that suggests someone using a camera phone to snap photos or film the heavyweight fight between Mike Tyson and Peter McNeely that took place in Las Vegas on August 19, 1995.

The clip has been viewed more than two million times since it was uploaded to YouTube, and it has sparked a furious debate, with conspiracy theorists throwing down the gauntlet to skeptics to provide an alternative explanation to the suggestion that someone attended the 1995 fight holding a piece of technology years before the first consumer version became available to the market.

According to the video description, “1995 fight between Mike Tyson and Peter McNeeley in Las Vegas. Someone in the crowd is seen taking a picture from what appears to [be] a smart phone device, or a device way ahead of the 90’s. Aliens!”

“I dunno if it’s a time traveler or not, but no one can explain what camera it is; a QV-100 doesn’t have a silver bit on the right, and this camera doesn’t seem to have a black line under the lens,” the video description concludes.

The clip is apparently an authentic excerpt from footage of the 1995 fight between and Tyson and McNeely. The audience member using what looks like a camera phone device appears at the 0:17 mark.

The person appears to be holding up an object that looks remarkably like a 21st century camera phone which first became available to consumers in the year 2000.

According to out-of-place artifacts conspiracy theorists, the footage is the conclusive proof of time travel because the person holding the alleged smartphone could only have been a human time traveler from the future, or an alien from an advanced technological civilization visiting Earth at the time.

Skeptics struggled to explain away the apparent anomaly, pointing out correctly that the poor resolution of the clip makes it impossible to determine precisely what the person was holding although it appears to have been a piece of technology.

Other skeptics pointed out that there were a few cameras available in 1995 similar in appearance to what the person in the clip was holding.

The fact-checking website Snopes mentions that the object could have been a Casio QV-10A or a Logitech Fotoman. Both products were available to consumers at the time.

But the YouTube user who uploaded the clip claims in the video description that the visible features of the mystery object do not match those of a QV-10A.

” QV-100 doesn’t have a silver bit on the right, and this camera doesn’t seem to have a black line under the lens,” the YouTube user writes.

Some viewers noted that the visible features of the alleged camera phone appear more consistent with the Logitech Fotoman.

“I dunno if it’s a time traveler or not, but no one can explain what camera it is.”

A skeptic who was unable to refute conspiracy theorists resorted to ad-hominem attacks, instead.

“Are there really people out there who are so retarded they believe in time travel and that people, who travel through time would waste their time on some boxing match?… People should learn to use their brain and learn what research is.”

Another viewer suggested tongue-in-cheek, “It’s not a smartphone. It’s a can of beer which will be thrown at Tyson after the fight.”

Out-of-place artifact theorists have pushed several fantastic claims of evidence of time traveling humans or aliens lately.

A bizarre claim emerged online earlier in April that photos of the 1,500-year-old mummified remains of a female of Turkic origins discovered by archaeologists in the Altai Mountains of Mongolia showed that the mummy was wearing Adidas boots.

Conspiracy theorists insisted that the modern footwear found on the ancient mummy was conclusive proof of time travel.
