Little Mix Shades Britney Spears: "We Knew We Could Do Better" Than a Song Like "Pretty Girls"

Finders keepers, losers weepers? That's not the case for girl group Little Mix!

The ladies of the British pop band said sayonara to their song "Pretty Girls," a long time ago, but it has found itself blasting on the airwaves courtesy of Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea. The song, which was written by the girls for their latest album, was scrapped because they didn't think it was up to par!

"We've been away a while because we wrote an album, sat with the record label and we thought, 'Nope, it's not good enough,'" group member Jesy Nelson said in an interview with The Sun. "We recorded a whole album but we're perfectionists and knew we could do better. So we scrapped it and started again."

Even though she said the group loved "Pretty Girls," they decided it didn't fit their tone, so they offered it to other people. As pop music fans know, Britney and Iggy picked it up and absolutely slayed it, even creating an epic music video to go with it.

"We wrote it with Maegan Cottone, who we've written a lot of this album with," Jade Thirlwall added. "We loved the song but it wasn't really for us so we put it out there and, lo and behold, Britney wanted it."

Little Mix recently released "Black Magic," an upbeat jam that will absolutely have you rolling down your windows while blasting it on full volume, so maybe passing on "Pretty Girls" worked out? Either way, we still have both songs to rock out to all summer long!
