Thanks to a Metro Nashville Arts Commission creation grant, Cynthia Harris and Vali Forrister are writing a new play based on oral histories of Nashville women who have reinvented themselves.

We seek stories from women of all ages, faiths, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. We want to understand who you were before your reinvention and who you became after, but we are most interested in your detailed process of transformation. That is: how did you get from "before" to "after"?

We welcome stories all of kinds, the difficult as well as the happy endings.  We want to know about the life events that required you to reconsider yourself in relationship to your world, your neighbors, your family.

The play that is created from these stories will receive a world premiere production at Actors Bridge Ensemble in the 2016-17 Season.
