St. Joseph’s/Michael’s Flea Market at the Bargain Basement, 420 15th St., Union City, will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., now featuring summer clothing for men, women and children, pots and pans, linens, blankets, and other items. There will be a half-price summer sale on Saturday, on summer clothing as well as other items.

METROPOLITAN A.M.E. ZION CHURCH YOUTH REVIVAL 2011

On Friday, there will be Evening Workshop at 7 p.m., at the church at 140 Belmont Ave., Jersey City. On Saturday, there will be workshops and sessions for all ages from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by a picnic at Lincoln Park where food and games will be offered. The church will also hold evening worship at 7 p.m. On Sunday, 10 a.m. there is morning worship with Revered Vajaah E. Parker. On Saturday, Sept. 17 at 5 p.m., World Gospel Music Association will feature Dr. Albert Lewis and The Voices of Victory Gospel Choir in an Old Fashioned Song Revival at the church. TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH CAR WASH

Trinity Episcopal Church, 575 Kearny Ave., Kearny will hold a car wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The fee is $5 per car.

WOODCLIFF COMMUNITY CHURCH

Woodcliff Community Church, 7605 Palisade Ave., corner of 77th St., North Bergen will hold a public “divine” summer sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds from the sale will go towards helping the church with its various ministries, such as the food pantry. The Thrift Store will be open the Second and Fourth Saturday, of every month, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additional times and dates will be added in the near future. An “Akafist” (novena) to Saints Joachim and Anna, parents of Theotokus (Mother of God), is held every Monday at 7 p.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Saint Sophia, 39 W. 22nd St., Bayonne. Orthodox and non-orthodox Christians are welcome. A true copy of the Miraculous “Weeping” Icon of Saint Anna is at the church and venerated during the Akafist.
