Kisatong village, Kiphire

On the outskirts of the Kiphire town is the village of Kisatong, which is one of the places you must visit when you visit this part of Nagaland. The village which is inhabited by the Sangtam tribe is located on a very high hilltop from where you can get a mesmerizing view of the valley below.

You will feel heavenly as if Mother Nature has taken you in her lap. In foggy winter morning, this is the place to be if you are touring this part of Nagaland. Another prime attraction here are the flocks of migratory birds which come here during the winter months to escape the harsh cold of Central Asia.

It is a paradise for any nature lover as you can come across different species of birds such as the endangered Amur Falcon which make a stopover in this place on their route from Siberia to Africa.
