Law and Development: New Challenges for the World Bank - Registration Form
This mini-symposium will feature three main activities. Our keynote speaker, who has come to Tokyo to participate in the World Bank/IMF Annual Meetings, will first introduce the activities of the Legal Vice Presidency of the World Bank in the area of Law and Development. A panel discussion about possible cooperation between Japan and the World Bank will follow, and will also include conversations about how the Bank can use its current unique roles and strengths, particularly its highly anticipated role as a "Knowledge Bank," to respond to the needs of a world currently facing a wide range of changes and challenges. The symposium will close with a Q&A session, where participants can continue the conversation by sharing their thoughts and comments.
