Thread: Can't install ubuntu + busybox v1.18.4

Hi,

I downloaded ubuntu from wubi and installed it. When I reboot my computer to finish installation, a black screen shows up and says:

Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:
- Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)

I've tried reinstalling it but the same thing happens. I'm trying to have it as dual boot with Windows7 and ubuntu, in the startup menu it gives me the two choices but when I go to ubuntun I get the above message.

I'm a complete noob at this
If anyone can help out that would be amazing.

boot into your Windows and check your hdd with chkdsk and then restart your PC
