What a terrific place to take a nice Sunday drive to. Even tho it is 2 1/2 hours from my home it is worth going there. My favorite honey crisp apples are grown in Michigan. People always ask how I can tell the difference between the Michigan apples and the Washington state apples and I always say one is very crispy and tart and sweet and the Washington apple is not. This is a wonderful country stop that is very laid back and in the middle of nowhere. This is about the only thing once you get off the exit. Going here is a real treat!

We bought 2 bushels of honey crisp apples, 2 pounds of yum yum peppers and 5 pounds of Michigan sour cherries to make pies. Today I had an opportunity to speak with Annette the owner and she was an incredibly kind woman. They didn't have any cherries left in the freezer there so she told me she had taken them home because they had started to thaw. She said she would go home to get them for me and instead of $19.99 she would give them to me for $9.99. I was thrilled and away she went to go get them. She was back promptly in a few minutes. They had pears, empire apples, early Fuji, Jonagold, red delicious, empire, McIntosh, lemons, limes, zucchini's, cauliflower, eggplant, a variety of hot and mild peppers , tomatoes and more. Lots of pumpkins and gourds and yummy cider and dressings. You can't go wrong with much of what you get. They have kids working there (16-19 years old) so you have to be a bit patient. They were helpful to me carrying the bushels but you had to ask. Even with a cane and dragging the bushel I still had to ask for help but in my opinion they were typical teens. All in all the most important thing was the taste and that I can vouch for. Annette had a winner in Fruit Acres, delicious fruit and vegetables.

Nice peaches to pick. One star because they loaded about 20 people onto the trailer back from the peach area (about a 5 minute walk) and drove them without warning for about 45 minutes to different parts of the farm, on a road etc. with babies and children crying. Literally shocking to not give people a heads up that the original 5 minute ride out wouldn't be matched but instead it would be 45 minutes of riding in 90 degree sun...

We just picked one box of cherries and one box of blueberries already picked. When I lifted the lid to check the quality I was told that "they were just made". So I didn't inspect any further. After getting home I opened up the box and some cherries were moldy which does not happen to "just picked" cherries. I come from from farm and we had cherry trees so I am familiar with the fruit and how it gets old. My guess is they were stored in the fridge for few days. Disappointed in the product and lack of integrity. Inspect your fruit before you purchase!

I randomly drove off the road, somewhere in Michigan, and I ended up here.
Luckily I ended up here instead of in some horrible town of wax like in House of Wax. My active imagination leads me to believe things like that could really happen. I'd prefer not to end up encased in a wax statue like that kid from Gilmore Girls, thank you very much.
This is a review of the farmstand, b/c I had no idea there was U-Pick. That would have been even more exciting. The local peaches were so good, I wish we'd gotten more of them and the cherry tomatoes were also amazing, especially the pretty little yellow ones. I could have easily dropped a fortune here, but luckily (un-luckily?) I don't have a fortune to drop. In addition to amazing fruits and veggies, they have flowers like locally grown gladiolas for dirt cheap prices, as well as a selection of jams, jellies, etc. The only thing that made me sad is that they didn't have blackberry jam with the seeds still in it. I need those seeds!
Come for the peaches, stay for the wax murderer free environs.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Tessah W.Brighton, NY696653Aug 12, 2019
Great looking produce at solid prices. Everything looked fresh and free samples were available for so much! Great idea to take kids to help try new fruits and get excited about fresh healthy options.

Very dissatisfied with my visit today. I bought cherries, they were mushy, 6 ears or corn, not sweet at all, 4 tomatoes, when i got them home to wash them i noticed they had stickers from a grocery store, 5 potatoes, a lemon snd a lime $17.00 what the heck, these were purchased ftom a grocery store and then resold at their farm stand. Sorry will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

This is just off Exit 39 off the 94. It's a very big fruit stand, with free samples of just about all the produce, and they take credit cards. Extensive selection of jams, jellies, etc. as well (some local, some not; read the labels). They even have restrooms. Didn't try the U-pick, though the prices for u-pick apples and peaches beat supermarket ones.
We visited in September; they had apples, nectarines, plums, peppers, lima beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, gourds, the last of the season's grapes, etc.
And on the same exit you can hit a couple of chocolate places, a cider store/apple pie shop, and a wine shop, so you can group your purchases.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2759867Oct 9, 2011
This is a review of the fruit and vegetable stand only not of the u pick farm (same owners obviously).
To be clear, whenever in season and passing by on I-94 I always stop by and stock up on perfect fruits and I have never never been disappointed. The flavors are awesome and nothing you will find in a supermarket even the fancy organic shops come even close to the flavor experience of the fruits bought here.
If you want to know what's in season check out the website first: fruitacresfarms.com which details what's available. Then it's an easy in and out of I-94 at exit 39. You can't go wrong in choosing your fruits as they let you sample before you buy so you know exactly the degree of maturity. Great way to eat healthy and stock up on vitamins.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
