On December 15, we'll hold our first annual Holiday Art, Craft, & Gift Festival in the gym at the Sacramento Central YMCA. Proceeds from the day go towards our Y&G scholarship fund which enables us to expand access to Y&G throughout our community.

We expect to end up with approximately 43 vendors for our first year - a great accomplishment for a new event. We hope, of course, that this is the start of a great tradition for our delegation and in our community.

In addition to the vendors, we're planning for our event to feature: a bake sale, gift wrap station, kids' craft area, pictures with Santa, live entertainment, a raffle, and Sacramento food truck, the Gameday Grill. To pull this off, however, we need A LOT of help.

All current delegates are expected to participate for the entire day unless they have compelling and immovable other plans. We would also like support from delegate parents, siblings, friends, and anyone available. (This is a great community service opportunity for those with community service requirements at their school, too.)

We'll need volunteers for these tasks and more: Vendor coordination; bake sale coordination; Kids' Craft area; Gift Wrap station; Santa's Helper; Raffle; Volunteer coordination; Y Booth sales; and promotions. Event Leadership (Question only for Sac Central Delegates)

Sarina Klein and Rose Meinrath are our event chairs. We need some additional people to serve under their leadership by volunteering as coordinators in the following areas. (Select "None" if not interested in a leadership position)

Vendor Coordinator (responsible for communicating logistics details, etc with vendors in advance of the event as well as conducting vendor-check in on the day of the event and making sure they have what they need during the event.

Holiday Treat Cafe Coordinator (Bake sale) - coordinate donations, pricing for bake sale (not responsible for baking all items!). Responsible for staffing the bake sale booth on the day-of.

Kids' Crafts Coordinator - along with Sarina and Rose, plan and acquire supplies for free kids crafts, monitoring booth and helping with crafts on the day-of

Gift Wrap Station Coordinator - along with Sarina and Rose, plan and acquire supplies for gift wrap station, teach people how to wrap, run booth on day-of

Santa's Helper - if we secure Santa, be his helper, run the photos-with-santa area (probably only partial day)

Raffle Coordinator - coordinate raffle event and be in charge of raffle sales on day-of

Volunteer Coordinator - along with Sarina and Rose - allocate and rotate volunteers around various event areas, ensure volunteer breaks and needs are taken care of
