Windows only: 7-Zip, one of those essential little Windows utilities that always makes our Lifehacker Pack, has updated to version 9.2. The tool still does its basic job well, but now supports some EXE, FLV, and SWF files as well.
Seeing what's inside your EXE installers, and the Flash-based bundles grabbed from the web, can be very interesting to casual hackers, and of much help to coders. The 7-Zip update is a free download for Windows only in its official form, but its unofficial variants will likely soon hit Mac and Linux.
