Come join VYP's Community Outreach Committee Saturday October 25th from 8am - 2pm and volunteer with Rebuilding Together!

About the Project: Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada  is the local affiliate of the national nonprofit that provides home repair, accessibility modifications and energy conservation services for low-income homeowners, particularly seniors, people living with disabilities, veterans and families, individuals and multigenerational families. We will be partnering with Houldsworth Russo & Co (HRC) on this project in helping repair a home in Central LV. We will be weeding, spreading decorative rock and painting the body of the home and trim, including the porch.  

Location & Time:
The home we are working on is at 545 Griffith, Las Vegas  89104 (off LV Blvd just north and east of the Stratosphere).  You must be at the home by 8:00 am SHARP!  Please expect to be at this project until at least 2:00 pm and possibly longer. The more help we have the faster we’ll be done. **I’m looking for 1 or 2 people with pick-up trucks to pick up the wheelbarrows, shovels, etc. at Rebuilding Together before the job. I will coordinate the date/time with them.

Food/Beverages:
HRC will provide plenty of water, soda and sandwiches for lunch for people who RSVP by 10/17. Please eat a good breakfast before you arrive!

What to wear:
Rebuilding Together will provide shirts (to people who RSVP) but wear closed toe shoes and long pants.  We are going to get dirty!!  Please tie your hair back and do not wear loose fitting garments. If you have a favorite pair of garden gloves you can bring them. RB will provide gloves for painting.  

Waiver:
Everyone at the job site must sign a waiver. Waivers will be available onsite.
