The Green Garbage Bags(GGB) are the eco-friendly garbage disposal solution for conservation of environment. Raw materials for making GGBs are Newspapers and any kind of waste papers, cloth, home made gums, stapler pins, etc. These GGBs are currently being handmade by poor women of rural/semi-rural areas near Jamshedpur.
For supporting education of underprivileged students of Digital Literacy Mission (DLM), the new design of biodegradable GGB was innovated by Dr. Mita Tarafder (mita.csir@gmail.com), Scientist of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). To make DLM self-sustainable, many green products are being designed, produced and sold by Relearn Foundation, a charitable trust formed under the Indian Trusts Act.1882. No: 755/160 established in February 2015 under the mentor-ship of Prof. Prabal  Kumar Sen, Chairperson, Entrepreneurship Development Centre of XLRI, Jamshedpur.
For conservation of environment, Relearn Foundation is mobilizing citizens and institutions for creating collection system of plastic bags and non-biodegradable waste for responsible recycling (making roads, reusable items, oil, etc). The foundation also offers training on "Home composting" for utilizing bio-degradable waste at source.

Minimum local order for GGBs will be  of 50 bags. The minimum outstation order is 100 bags.

The cost per bag is given below
Extra Extra Large (XXL): Rs 5.50
Extra Large (XL): Rs 4.50
Large Plus (L+): Rs 3.50
Large(L): Rs. 2.50
Medium(M): Rs. 1.50
Small(S): Rs. 1.00
For handle (H), 50p to be added extra per bag.
Large and medium bags can be used for disposing SEMI-WET kitchen garbage. Small is for disposing soiled sanitary napkin.
