AUGUSTA, Maine — After staying silent for weeks, Maine’s Attorney General’s Office acknowledges they are investigating a former Biddeford Police officer for possibly sexually abusing a boy in the 1990s. In recent weeks, several men have come forward claiming they were abused as boys.

Some of those alleged victims talked about the abuse they say they suffered at a city meeting last week.

Biddeford Police say they are investigating and now, in a statement to CBS 13, the attorney general’s office acknowledges they are looking into the claims as well.
