Wolverhampton Wanderers appear to be on the verge of kicking their summer into life as the Express and Star reports that they will complete three deals imminently.

The takeover of the Molineux outfit by Fosun was finally completed recently, which appears to have now allowed the club to really get stuck into the transfer market having previously completed just one signing.

And the Express and Star reports that they are making up for lost time by bringing in three players, all with links to Benfica.

Firstly, midfielder Pele will be joining Kenny Jackett’s side on a permanent basis, according to the Express and Star. The 24-year-old is yet to play for the Portuguese giants but did spend the most recent campaign playing in the country’s top flight out on loan with Pacos de Ferreira.

Meanwhile, the Express and Star reports that winger Helder Costa and Atletico Madrid full-back Silvio are set to join the Championship side on loan.

The latter is a Portuguese international and has spent the last three years on loan at Estadio da Luz, while Costa is yet to play for Benfica’s first-team but did enjoy a loan spell with Ligue 1 side Monaco last term.

The trio will surely add the kind of depth that Jackett had been craving while the takeover speculation continued, and he will be hoping – if the deals do get across the line as expected – that there are many more new faces to arrive through the door before the season starts.
