Noticias ao Minuto report the purpose of the visit was to complete the transfer, and also claim that problems relating to a work permit are no longer a concern.

Talisca, who posted on Instagram at the weekend that he is preparing for a ‘new challenge’, is ready to travel to England today (Monday) to join his new club.

Wolves drew their opening Championship game this weekend away to Rotherham, bouncing back from a two goal deficit.

The side were taken over last month by Chinese investors Fosun International, who also hold a minority share in Gestifute, the sports agency business owner by Jorge Mendes.

He helped advise Fosun on their takeover of Wolves, and has set the wheels in motion for Talisca’s surprise transfer to Wolves, which Portuguese newspaper O Jogo reported on Friday could just be for one season, even though it appears the deal will be a permanent switch rather than a loan.
