Bible Translation Survey
I am examining why people prefer various Bible translations, and what their attitudes are about other versions. This is only a preliminary survey, and will be conducting a more scientific survey later, based on these results. Unless you leave your email at the end, all responses are anonymous.

Bible translations vary in the translation method used, and the Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts from which they were translated. This survey is not primarily concerned about the underlying texts, but the way in which those texts were translated.

There are no right or wrong answers in this. If you are unsure about certain terminology, that is fine: just go with the way you would define that word.

Accuracy and Understandability
By "accuracy", I mean how well a translation conveys the meaning of the original text in English. Ask yourself, "How closely does this translation allow me to know what the writers of the Bible intended?"

Understandability is how hard a reader has to struggle to understand what the English is saying. Both accuracy and understandability are important.
