The family of Steven R. Orr has established the Steven R. Orr Memorial Scholarship in memory of a highly respected member of the La Canada Community and the Father of two La Canada High School graduates, Matt and Will.  The scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating senior of La Cañada High School.

The scholarship will be granted on the basis of academic achievement, extra-curricular involvement, character and an interview.

HOW TO APPLY:

1. Complete and submit the online application by Friday, April 3, 2020.

2. Provide an unofficial copy of your transcript and a resume in a sealed envelope. Also provide one letter of recommendation, written by an LCHS teacher, in an additional sealed envelope. Each envelope must be labeled with your name and ‘Steven R. Orr Memorial Scholarship'; give to Mrs. Hicklin by April 3, 2020.

After all applications have been received, a paper screening process will take place and the top five (5) candidates will be interviewed by members of Steven Orr’s family.  The interview will take place in late April or early May in the IRC. Students will be notified of the date/time of their interview.

A scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 at Senior Scholarship Awards on May 21, 2020.
