Drexel Community Scholars (DCS) is a community of active, social justice oriented students whom serve as a bridge between Drexel and local community partners. DCS participate in training and development opportunities through the support of the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement. DCS recruit volunteers, facilitate reflections, and build capacity with community partners. DCS support each other around critical conversation on various social issues within themed coalitions (Education, Hunger & Housing, and Community Development). DCS challenge each other to take action and intentionally reflect on their civic actions. DCS are expected to build meaningful relationships by being present with the local community.
