If elected as a Member of the European Parliament in 2019, I commit to supporting policies which put the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3 “Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages“ at the centre of EU action at home and internationally, grounded in the right to health and leaving no one behind. I also commit to actively contribute to the following policy goals:

• Supporting an EU action plan to end AIDS and Tuberculosis by 2030 and fight stigma and discrimination against people affected by the diseases;
• Ensuring a 20% increase in the EU contribution to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria;
• Ensuring universal access to affordable medicines by supporting the revision of the TRIPS agreement to avoid negative effects for MICs and LICs to provide their populations with the drugs and treatments needed;
• Project and defend EU values of tolerance, inclusiveness, respect of scientific evidence, and human rights, in the face of backtracking of these values in the US and many other countries.
