Zicklin Forensic Accounting Association Spring 2015 Election Application
This form is for new members of the ZFAA. Applications are due no later than Monday February 9

Position descriptions:


The VP of Communications is responsible for creating and distributing the ZFAA's weekly newsletter, sourcing news items and working with the other board members to ensure proper publication of ZFAA events. He/She will also manage the ZFAA email inbox, ensuring that incoming requests and instructions are promptly dealt with or delegated. Weekly commitment: 2-4 hours.

The VP of Logistics works in coordination with the VP of Event Planning to handle registration and event logistics.  This includes managing registration lists of 30-150 attendees, creating waiting lists when necessary, sending confirmation/waitlist/reminder emails, and assisting with the running of events when possible.  Familiarity with Google docs is helpful. Weekly time commitment will vary week to week: 1-4 hours.

The VP of Social Events is responsible for creating and scheduling fun and enjoyable ZFAA social events. This role will be essential in bringing the entire club together to form close-knit personal and professional relationships! Weekly commitment will vary week to week: 1-2 hours.

The VP of Web Development is responsible for maintaining and updating the ZFAA website. He/She will work closely with the VP of Communications, Publicity, and Social Media to ensure content is kept relevant and informative. Prior web design knowledge is not required. Weekly commitment: 1-2 hours.

The VP of Undergraduate Relations is responsible for working with various undergraduate students and clubs, to ensure all are informed about club activities and to develop that network as a resource for the club. Weekly commitment will vary week to week: 1-2 hours.

The Assistant Secretary will assist the Secretary in maintaining the records of the club, ensuring all board members are kept apprised of club activities and initiatives, as well as ensuring there is proper documentation of club events and meetings. Weekly Commitment: 1-2 hours

The Assistant Treasurer will assist the Treasurer in managing the budgeting process, completing and authorizing payment instructions and working with Baruch's accounting office for disbursements. Experience in bookkeeping is also a plus. Weekly Commitment: 1-2 hours.

The Communications Committee positions are responsible for assisting the VP of Communications. They will assist to create and distribute the ZFAA's weekly email, source news items and work with the other board members to ensure proper publication of ZFAA events. Weekly commitment: 1-2 hours.

The Campus Committee positions are responsible for assisting the VP of Undergraduate Relations and Graduate Relations. They will work with various students and clubs and to develop that network as a resource for the club. Weekly commitment will vary week to week: 1-2 hours.

The Publicity Committee positions are responsible for assisting the VP of Publicity. They are responsible for distributing event flyers, drafting and orchestrating mass e-mails to promote events, and overseeing FAA presence at club fairs.Weekly commitment: 1-2 hours.

The Graphic Designer position will assist the VP of Publicity in creating club flyers. He/She should be proficient in Photoshop or similar software. Weekly commitment: 1-2 hours.

The Events Committee positions are responsible for assisting the VP of Event Planning. They are responsible for working with other Baruch clubs and departments, helping to create and schedule ZFAA events, and coordinating committee members to have food/refreshments/volunteers at events! Weekly commitment will vary week to week: 1-2 hours.


The committee and event chair positions will require less frequent time commitment, except in the week of the specific event with which you are supporting.
