Please fill out the following application form by Friday, September 18th, 2015 @ 11:59pm, the deadline for the 2015-2016 school year. Applications submitted after this deadline will NOT be considered for program membership. Please refer to the Global Brigades myUMBC page for program specific information and application FAQs.

The Program Officer group for the brigade you are applying for will be the reviewers of your application along with the current Campus Chairperson and the faculty advisor. A rubric is used to judge each application.

There will be caps for each program for how many trip members can attend the upcoming brigades. This is for logistical and financial reasons, we hope you understand. Should you not be chosen for a upcoming trip, you may be put on a wait-list for the time between the close of this application and the due date of the first trip payment. Should someone drop out of the trip during that time period, the wait-list will be notified about the opening, but you must be able to financially commit before you are officially added to the trip roster.

You also have the option of choosing a 2nd and 3rd choice brigade program to help fill up trip spots should some programs not meet the minimum trip member requirement. So if you are set on traveling this year, please fill out a 2nd and 3rd program option on this application. Should you not be selected for the program of your first choice, but still have what is considered a strong application, you may be notified to see if you would join the trip of your 2nd/3rd choice program if that program has not reached its cap. You will be expected to attend program meetings and contribute to program events for whatever program you are selected to be a trip member of.
