Quality Online Learning and Teaching (QOLT) Lunch and Learn Registration Form
Tuesday, April 26, 2016
12:00 - 1:00pm
LIB286 Faculty Commons

The Quality Online Learning and Teaching (QOLT) initiative is a faculty development program that supports you in implementing into your fully online and hybrid courses superior course design practices and proven teaching strategies that have a direct impact on student success.

Join us over lunch and hear from Dr. Jackson Wilson, chair-person of the Online Education Committee (OEC), and Assistant Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism, as he reports on the results of a survey of faculty conducted this spring on online learning and teaching practices at SF State University.

Also learn about our upcoming summer professional development series where our QOLT mentors and instructional designers will guide you step-by-step through the QOLT diagnostic review, collaborate with you on course revisions, and prepare you for the final certification process.

At the end of the summer series your course will be ready for full QOLT certification. Highly-trained peer reviewers will then anonymously verify your course for final certification. Getting your course fully certified brings many benefits including:

• Official letter of accomplishment for RTP purposes
• Campus-wide recognition in QOLT events and on the QOLT website
• Eligibility to apply to be a QOLT Ambassador and earn cash
• Opportunities to participate in CSU system-level Quality Assurance programs
• First-to-know access to funding opportunities such as Course Redesign with Technology and Affordable Instructional Materials

Lunch will be provided.
