Summer 2015 Explore Engineering Design Course


The Margaret Jones Wyllie '45 Engineering Program will host the 2015 Explore Engineering Design Course for High School girls at Sweet Briar College, in Sweet Briar, Virginia. The week will begin at 4:30 pm on Sunday, July 19, 2015 and the design exhibition of your projects will be on Friday, July 24, 2015. Departure is at 2 pm on Friday.

This event is for rising female seniors (class of 2016) and juniors (class of 2017), though others may be admitted if space permits.

A $100 deposit is due with the application essay. Total participant cost is $700, which includes all meals, lodging, supplies, outing, picnic at lake, tee shirt and tuition. You will have an opportunity to pay the $100. deposit online after you click submit  at the end of this application. Please take screen shots of any information you wish to save. After paying your deposit, your balance due by July 1st would be $600.

Note: For those flying or taking public transportation into LYH (Lynchburg, VA) the only close airport, train and bus terminal,  if arriving the night before camp begins (July 18) or leaving the day after camp is over (July 25) there will be a $50. per day additional fee for additional accommodations and transportation to and from the airport or terminal.
