Using Video for Effective Fundraising

Data from Nesta in 2015 shows 507% growth in UK donation crowdfunding. How do we use this platform most effectively to reach our goals and promote our causes?

This workshop will provide you with the essential knowledge of how to effectively start implementing video in your marketing and fundraising campaigns. It will uncover affordable ways to make regular, engaging content and demystify the process of working with filmmakers as well as offer progression routes on how to become one.
 
Content:
• A look at case studies of successful campaigns
• Challenges faced by the third sector and the future of fundraising
• Practical exercise: campaign strategy
• Price is what you pay – value is what you get: understanding video budgets
• Production, distribution and audience engagement
• Turning supporters into evangelists
• Creative exercise: generating ideas for your fundraising campaign
 
Outcomes:
• An introduction to the basic process of making and using video for fundraising
• Understanding how charities need to change to stay relevant and visible
• Tools and progression routes for effective fundraising and marketing
• Working within your capacity and budgetary limitations

Trainer: Blake House a value-driven filmmakers’ co-operative creating effective and fairly priced video content for the Third Sector, which includes co-operatives, social enterprises, charities, NGOs as well as academics and journalists. They collaborate with other artists and community groups to amplify causes and practical alternatives for a more equal, sustainable and kind world.
