Research Assistant Application (125th Anniversary Cordopedia Project)
Student researchers will serve as co-inquirers in the development of Cordopedia, a digital encyclopedia of the College’s history, researched and written by Concordia students and faculty and designed to serve as a resource for students, faculty, scholarly researchers, and the general public. Cordopedia will provide reliable and relevant information about significant people, places, ideas, and events in Concordia’s history. Summer 2016 will include work on the first element of Cordopedia, focusing on the history of WOMEN at Concordia. Students in future Concordia classes, and/or archival interns will continue to contribute to this online resource, moving beyond the history of women at the college.
Positions are available for two student co-inquirers:
• Historical co-inquirer—focused primarily on women’s history research and writing
• Technology co-inquirer—focused primarily on developing the technological platform used for the digital encyclopedia (Drupal)
These positions are 40 hours/week for 8-10 weeks. Students will receive a $350/week stipend.
