Children's Ministry Volunteers
Sunday Morning Pew Shepherds - Occasionally join the kids in the first 2 pews for the first 15 minutes of the 11 AM service
Sunday Morning Missions - Help setup and cleanup supplies for the kid's Sunday morning project during the 11 AM service
Sunday Morning Shepherds - Help assist the teacher during the kid's Sunday School hour for half a year (Aug - Dec or Jan - May)
StoryTeller/Drama - Help tell or perform a Biblical lesson during the 11 AM service. Supplies and instructions are included
Zioneers Chaperones - Join the 4th and 5th graders on some of their field trips and service projects throughout the year. Sundays 5-7
Wednesday Night Salt and Light Leaders - Help out once a month to teach a 15 minute Bible lesson to two groups of kids
Wednesday Night Salt and Light Choir Leaders - Every Wednesday night after dinner, help teach the little ones a song or two for 45 minutes. Help when singing in worship every 6 weeks
VBS Planning Volunteers - Help plan the VBS program for the upcoming year. Meet monthly Feb - May, and more frequently until VBS
VBS Volunteers - Help 1/2 a day for 1 week at VBS shepherding children or teaching lessons to each rotating group
Dads of Summer Leaders - From Memorial Day to the start of school, work with 2 other Dads to take over (teaching) Sunday School!
Learning Volunteers
Short-term Bible Study Leaders - Facilitate a short-term bible study
New Class Builder - Participate in the creation of a new Sunday School class to help garner excitement and numbers. Dedicate 1-2 years growing with the new class and its members
Speaker or Worship Leaders - Share a special interest, hobby, or story on a Wednesday night
Youth Sunday School Leaders - Help teach Sunday school with another adult throughout the year. Materials are provided
Youth Volunteers - Help out by supervising and having fun with the activities and lessons learned with the Youth. 1st, 3rd, 5th Sundays and extra activities (Eg. missions, trips) as able
Outreach Volunteers
Disaster Relief/UMCOR - Provide assistance as needed, including to our shut-in members
Family Promise - Help be hosts and serve food when we host homeless families at the church
Blankets of Blessing - Make no-sew fleece blankets for those in need
Angel Tree - Assist in annual gift giving mission to foster children in the community
Coupons & Care Packages for Troops - Monthly meeting to clip coupons and mail to bases
Helping Hands Ministry - Provide assistance and small maintenance projects for those in need
Great Day of Service - Participate in 1 day of service projects on and off site in the spring
Operation Christmas Child - Assist in annual global shoebox mission in November
The Craddock Center - Monthly trip to Cherry Log to help promote literacy among children
Global Mission Trips - Spread God’s Love with manual projects and children’s ministry
UMW Craft Show - Assist during the UMW annual craft show in November
UMW Circle - Women can join others in fellowship, fun, and mission work
MUST Ministries - Serve the basic needs of the homeless in our area
Action Ministries - Help address the challenge of poverty by focusing on hunger relief, housing, and education
Habitat for Humanity - Help in the home building process for people in need in our area
Local Family Mission Trips - Spend 3 or 4 days with your family assisting people in North Georgia
Communications & Technology Volunteers
Website Management and/or Development - Help maintain the church webpage
Technology (IT) - Put your technical skills to work as the church grows in the 21st century
Proof-readers - Read over documents that are sent out to the church and community
Caring Volunteers
Prayer Ministry - Aid by praying in the prayer chapel during worship services, and praying over specific members’ requests. Can also participate from home as you are able
Visiting Lay Ministry - Formal training enables members to make visits to persons in short term crises, to the homebound, or any others on behalf of the pastoral leadership
Stephen Ministry Leaders - Formal Training enables one on one caring relationships, providing care for persons in crisis situations and persons with on-going needs
Flower Delivery Coordinators - Deliver flowers to persons at home as they recover
In Home Communion Ministry - Training enables members to serve communion to the Homebound members
WOW Meal Delivery - Deliver WOW dinners on Wednesdays to the homebound
Hospitality Volunteers
Sunday Morning Greeters/Ushers (All Services) - Help greet everyone as they enter for worship
Kitchen Helpers - Help prepare, serve, and clean up as needed for different events as able (Ex. WOW, funerals, pot-lucks)
Coffee Hour Hosts - Coordinate and/or help prepare coffee hour on 1 Sunday morning a month. Direct Sunday School volunteers and help clean up
Evangelism - Meet, Plan, and Pray to implement an Evangelism program to provide hospitality to the community and the church. Meetings are once a month
Visitor Care - Collect sheets from the friendship pads after worship on Sundays. Deliver candy bags to all first time visitors found to their homes 1 Sunday a quarter
Special Events Helpers - Help plan, implement, and provide hospitality at special social events
Golf Cart Drivers - Chauffeur members and guests before and after the worship services to and from their cars 1 Sunday a month
Shepherds - Engage with, pray, and check-in with an assigned, recurrent guests as they become more engaged in the church
