Because these are the days for Penn State students to take final exams, this trip is for Visiting Scholars and their spouses and others who are not enrolled as students taking final exams.
This is a one day trip to Harrisburg for 3 Activities:
1. Visit the Harrisburg State Capitol building - the most beautiful building in all of Pennsylvania and maybe one of the top 10 in the USA.
2. Visit a large church where we will will watch their Christmas Drama about an out-of-work family who find themselves spending Christmas in a small town in Ohio. In this drama, all of the actors will speak English, so you will want to be able to understand English to enjoy this performance. The drama is 2 hours long with one break in the middle. This drama will be performed for about 10,000 people this Christmas season.
3. Eat at a Chinese buffet restaurant in Harrisburg
The Cost for the trip: $10 for your travel expenses + $12 for your ticket for the drama = $22 for registration
