Gameboard Research Unit
ARTIST/RESEARCH RESIDENCY IN PHILADELPHIA JUNE 8-13 2016

We work with improvised and determined music to deploy performance environments, with their behavioral and statistical maps, as gaming. We want to excavate musical relationships, to get to the bottom of them through relentless inquiry. We arrive at the discrete separation between spectator & scholar and we make it continuous. Contradictions between concert, rehearsal, and classroom are ripe for explosion.
