Stonefields School Visitor Tours

The 2 hour visits on Tuesday mornings offer an overview of learning and teaching at Stonefields. They aim to capture a ‘moment in time’ in the organisation’s brief history and to explore opportunities, challenges and focuses that have helped frame the journey to date. A 40 minute presentation looks at exploring the school’s vision and how it unpacks into practice across the organisation. Time will be spent sharing the nature of learning, and include key supporting scaffolds including the Learner Qualities, Learning Process and the development of ‘Breakthrough’ time. In addition the presentation looks at critical elements of teacher collaboration, organisational culture and teacher belief that underpin ‘why we do what we do’.

Following the presentation approximately 40 minutes will be spent touring through the Learning Hubs. As well as being able to illustrate how aspects of the school’s vision play out across the year levels, it also provides a chance to explore aspects of Modern Learning Environments, in terms of design and implementation.

On return to the workshop space there will be a chance for a short Q & A.

Vision Tours are offered most Tuesdays. They are limited to 24 participants in order to ensure a quality experience for visitors and learners alike. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival.

Often we are asked about a suitable Koha.  We thank you for this and warmly welcome a koha should you wish to do so, although there is no expectation.
