NORTH CAROLINA TWO YEAR COLLEGE ENGINEERING PATHWAYS: Officer nomination
Nominations are open to all individuals employed by or retired from institutes of higher education in the State of North Carolina which grant the Associates of Science, Associate in Engineering, or BSE degree.  Self-nominations are encouraged.

Time line
March 18   Electronic  Nominations open. Individuals nominated will be asked to accept nomination by email.
April 1         10:00 Floor nominations
                             Nominations close.
                     Individuals nominated must accept the nomination via email or floor.

        April 2         Biographical essays due (250 word limit).

        April 4          The slate of nominees will be circulated to the membership electronically.
                              Voting opens

April 11        Electronic voting closes 5:00 pm.

April 12        Results announced.    Ties broken by runoff

Individuals who are who agree to run for office but are not elected will be called upon to serve on committees and will hopefully run again in future elections.

Nomination for President/ Vice President
Note:  The election for President/ Vice president will be held concurrently, with top vote receiver becoming President and second becoming Vice President.

A. The President shall:
1. Preside at all meetings of the Association and prepare the agenda for all meetings.
2. Act as ex-officio member of all committees.
3. Perform all other duties that regularly pertain to the office.
4. Appoint delegates as needed to affiliate organizations.

B. The Vice President shall:
1. Chair the Audit Committee.
2. Appoint Audit Committee members subject to the approval of the President.
3. Tabulate election ballots along with the secretary.
