Accelerate Flow: Goal Assessment
If you don't know where you are going, any path will do....
Creating more flow begins with getting clear on what you want.  This process is designed to create a clear, personalized map to accelerate both your growth and your impact.  By clarifying where you want to go, we can then figure how to get you there as quickly as possible.  Here are the rules:
1 - Assume that if you can articulate what you want, then we will find a way you can have.
2 - Dream big; In the first 4 questions, write it as if it has already happened; Be Bold.
3 - Don't think about "shoulds" or how we will get there.  Follow your intuition and Trust the process!

Some people like to print this out, make notes, and then come back to complete the assessment.  We encourage you to consider these questions in the am and the pm, with coffee and with a glass of wine, as different states inspire different ideas.  KEY - be bold!

You just had the best professional year EVER!  You were amazing.  What did you accomplish?  What are you most proud of creating? *
I am promoted to X position and have created a dynamic, engaged team that is committed to ...  My book is written.
Building upon these professional successes, where are you in three years?  What have you accomplished?  What is true about your professional life? *
My startup is launched and is cash flow positive. I has a great team of 8 experts and we are raising 10 million as our Series A.  WHAT ELSE?  If you can dream it, you can have it!
Now, focus on you.  Again - you had a WILDLY SUCCESSFUL year.  Describe your life. If you personally had the most amazing year ever, what would be true?  What are you celebrating professional?  Describe your life. *
I have met my life partner.  I have built an inspiring, supportive network of friends.  I feel fit and great in my body.  (KEEP GOING... DREAM BIG!)
Keep going!  Three years from now, where are you personally?  Dreaming big, what is true about your personal life?  What have you created?  What are you celebrating? *
My family is healthy.  We settled in our new home that nurtures us and is close to our chosen community.  I read daily.  Our wealth engine is thriving and we are saving for our children's education.
Life is full and your attention is at a premium.  What are the four most important things for you to focus on to achieve this personal life you just described.  Thinking of where you want to be in 3 yrs, what are the most important areas? *
Here are a few ideas. Use these or identify your own. Health/wellness; intimate relationship, Roles (ie, parent, child, sibling, friend), Learner, Creator, Community member.   What are the most important areas for you to focus on to get the life you described?   (if you focus on everything, you are focused on nothing)
You are doing GREAT!   Now, within each of these four personal areas, what are the 3 things you would want to target?  What actions or projects will move you forward the most (or most effectively)?   *
Wellness example: Being physically active 5x/wk. Getting 7 hours sleep / night.  Walking 15k steps/day.  Drinking 8 glasses of water.    Losing 15lbs. Purchasing a fitbit and walking minimum of 12,000 steps/day.      Lover: Create genuine presence for my partner daily.  Understand what contributes to his/her happiness.  Simplify and ground lifestyle.    Parent: Create education plan for my children outside of school hrs. focus on gratitude.  Cultivate more patience, compassion, presence, connection.  Find 1hr unwired time daily to be fully present, curious and playful.  Cultivate growth mindset in my children.
You are almost done.  Revisit what you want to create over the next three years professionally (feel free to add anything else)!  What are the four most important areas to focus on?  What must you execute on to achieve this vision?  What 4 projects will most expand your professional impact? (We typically recommend 2 priority projects and 2 professional growth areas. *
Here are a few growth examples. Use these or identify your own!  Your Executive Presence, communication style, credibility, professional network.
Within each of these 4 areas, what are the 3-5 things you want to achieve?  Said differently, to move each of these areas forward, what should you focus on doing? *
Ie - Executive presence: Understand theories behind Executive Presence. Define growth priorities (i.e. Feel confident presenting and fielding question.  Stay calm and focused amid conflict.  Develop gravitas).  Identify 3 role models  - observing what makes them impactful.
GREAT JOB!  I will take what you have written and create an intentions map.  I just need to know whose GREAT life this is!  Who submitting this information? (what is your name!) *
