You may recall that the NIRSA Board of Directors appointed a Regional Realignment Task Force (RRTF) in Fall 2014. For more information and background, you can read the November NIRSA Know story here: http://goo.gl/yoJtk5.

As the RRTF has begun its work to evaluate the current regional structure and proposed Canadian region, we’ve compiled a list of factors that may need to be considered if realignment were to take place, which include:
· Leadership and volunteer opportunities (representation on the Member Network and some committees)
· Awards (some are regionally based)
· Scholarships (some regions have a regional endowment)
· Regional contingency funds
· NIRSA Championship Series tournaments

However, before we get to the "how" stage of discussion, we know that our connections within a region go far beyond those structural considerations. As we consider potential future options and alternatives to the current regional alignment, we ask you to share your regional perspective on the "why":
