New Leaving Certificate Grading Scale and Revised Common Points Scale
This is an extremely significant change to how teachers in our schools will grade pupils in the forthcoming Christmas and Summer house-examinations, and very little awareness is very evident on a national level about the implications for schools in terms of teacher awareness, incorporating the changes into assessment and school reports etc.
Mr. Joachim Barnett, Deputy Admissions Officer at the University of Limerick will brief us on this topic and provide guidance to school leaders on the implications of this change to the Leaving Certificate grading scale.
