All these classes will be taught by Dieter Runge, our new art teacher. Dieter has BAs in Psychology and Art and a Master in Fine Art, He is a former president and current member of the Honolulu Printmaker’s board of directors. Dieter has taught taiji for more than 25 years and is a certified yoga instructor. Dieter has lived in Kailua/Kaneohe for 25 years. When he doesn’t teach art Dieter produces his own work, cooks and teaches ayurvedic cooking.

1. Expanded Arts  2:15 – 3:45 Tues and/or Thur.  
    The 1 ½ hr time period allows the students to explore the visual and      
    performing arts more deeply than the regular classes allow. The
    curriculum will be adjusted to individual needs as well as to develop
    collaborative skills in small groups.

2. Yoga In this class we will focus on strengthening the core body,
    flexibility, alignment, calming our active minds to develop more focus.

3. Taiji/Qi gong These ancient arts cultivate internal energy, balance,
    focus and awareness of the body in motion.
