Please be on time. It is recommended that you sign in between 5 and 10 minutes prior to your appointment. Those without appointments will be seen if time allows. Your audition appointment will last approximately 4 minutes, so please plan accordingly. Please bring your calendar/schedule, so that you may give us all conflicts leading up to the performance.
What to prepare:
1. A short song (verse and a chorus, or a 16 or 32 bar cut) that is no longer than 1 minute. This song should be memorized, and it is preferred that you bring in an instrumental backing track (you can bring a CD, flash drive, or a device like a phone or ipod that will play your music). You may also sing a capella (without music). It is suggested that you do not sing anything from the show. An accompanist will not be present.
2. A monologue is preferred for this audition. If you are not comfortable performing a monologue, you may choose to perform a scene from Into the Woods, Jr. that can be found at this link:

Please look over this material prior to your audition to familiarize yourself with our show.

Everyone on the DMR team remembers our first audition, and our job is to make you/your child feel as comfortable as possible. If your child is completely uncomfortable with auditioning, know that we have several classes available that do not require an audition. We will be holding regular audition workshops to help you/your child prepare for an audition.
