1. ALL PSI students are encouraged to participate.

2. An entry can be any invention, scientific project or artistic creation using imagination that the student wishes to display.

3. Students may work on a project alone or with a partner(s). Each student needs to complete their own registration, and should list their partner(s) in the provided space on the registration form.

4. Participants should provide an explanatory display made of cardboard and/or a sign containing the following information depending on the nature of the project:

- Inventions should also include a description of the intended use and how it works. The invention does not have to work as desired. We are more interested in why you chose your invention and how you created it. Many successful inventions didn't work the first time around.

- Science experiments should include a list of all the steps from start to finish as well as the outcome (intended or unintended). Remember that science experiments may not always result in a success, but it is the process we are interested in seeing.

- Imagination projects should include an overview on how the project grew from an idea to a completed project and an overview of what the imagination project entails. There is no correct or incorrect idea when using imagination!

5. In accordance with our district policy, there will be NO LATEX allowed at school. Latex balloon, gloves or latex of any kind may NOT be included in the project demonstration the night of the fair.

6. There will be NO ELECTRICAL POWER available.

7. Using live animals is discouraged, in the even an animal is a part of a student project you must adhere to School Board Policy 630. Live animals MUST be kept caged while they are in the building. Please consider the animal's well-being. PSI is not responsible for lost animals.

8. Students are responsible for transporting their projects to and from the fair. Doors open for set up in the gymnasium at 6:00pm. Project reviewing begins at 6:30pm. Students need to stay at their assigned table until the inspector discussion has taken place and they have received their participation certificate. Students should be prepared to spend a few minutes with the inspector discussion their project. In addition, students are asked to keep their projects set up for the duration of the fair. Students are welcome to enjoy exploring the fair once they've received their certificate, but must return to their table to remove their project and clean up their table by 8:00pm.

9. Distribution of candy and/or treats at your display is NOT allowed. Candy is allowed only if it is part of the invention or experiment.
