Maggie Bergeron & Company, along with musician Nicholas Gaudette, is presenting the first annual Hear Here! A Live Music and Movement Festival July 18, 2015 at the Lowry Lab Theater downtown Saint Paul. The central theme of this festival is collaboration, as we work to celebrate the specific nature of the intersection and overlap of sound and movement. This pairing has a long history and vibrant life in the Twin Cities, and we believe that it is time to devote a festival to just this overlap of artists and communities.

We will curate four teams of composer/musicians and choreographer/dancers, including one team of high school students, to create original collaborative work. The work will then be premiered at the first annual free showing of Hear Here!, including a moderated 10-minute talkback after each work. All technical rehearsals, community rehearsals, spacing rehearsals and the free showing on July 18 will be free and open to the public.
