If you are a candidate to one of the appointed positions, you will be invited to come to the next Committee meeting and present your candidacy. The Committee will vote and deliver a recommendation to the Board, which will make the final appointment decision.

Instructions
There are 5 types of positions available on the Boston Pride Committee: Participants, Programs Co-Chairs, Event Chairs, Operations Managers, and Operations Coordinators. For each category, responsibilities are indicated below. Should you have any questions about specific positions, please contact us at board@bostonpride.org.

You may apply for up to three positions at a time at most.

Participants
If you are interested in joining Boston Pride, but are not ready to take on a specific role... not a problem! Join us as a participant by attending the Boston Pride Committee meetings, held on Tuesdays at 6:30pm at the United South End Settlements (corner of Mass Ave and Columbus Ave).

Program Co-Chair positions
Program Co-Chairs are appointed for a 2-year term. They report to the Board of Directors of Boston Pride. Their responsibilities include:
(1) For each Board meeting, attend in person to provide an update and send-in a written report.
(2) Attend weekly Pride meetings (3 per month min).
(3) Provide motivation and support to Event Chairs and Operations Managers under their purview.
(4) Act at a public face and spokesperson for Boston Pride.
(5) Attend as many Boston Pride-produced events as possible, year-round.
(6) Work the major events produced by Boston Pride.
What Program Co-Chair position would you like to apply to?
Event Chair positions
Event Chairs are appointed for a 1-year term. They report to the Program Co-Chairs or Board of Directors of Boston Pride (depending on the position). Their responsibilities include:
(1) Plan, produce and execute the event under their responsibility.
(2) Attend weekly Pride meetings (2 per month min).
(3) Coordinate with Operations Managers.
(4) Send a monthly report to their program co-chairs.
(5) Attend as many Boston Pride-produced events as possible, year-round.
(6) Work the major events produced by Boston Pride.
What Event Chair position would you like to apply to?
Operations Manager positions
Operations Managers are appointed for a 1-year term. They report to the Program Co-Chairs. Their responsibilities include:
(1) Conduct production and execution activities in their areas of purview, to ensure that each program and event gets the operational support needed.
(2) Attend weekly Pride meetings (2 per month min).
(3) Supervise their coordinators.
(4) Send a monthly report to their program co-chairs.
(5) Attend as many Boston Pride-produced events as possible, year-round.
(6) Work the major events produced by Boston Pride.
What Operations Manager position would you like to apply to?
Operations Coordinator positions
Operations Coordinators are appointed for a 1-year term. They report to Operations Managers or the Board of Directors (depending on the position). Their responsibilities include:
(1) Conduct production and execution activities in their areas of purview.
(2) Attend weekly Pride meetings (2 per month min).
(3) Attend as many Boston Pride-produced events as possible, year-round.
