The Beet of Berkeley is an independent online student run satire magazine (We're poor and can't afford to pay our workers. But this also means we get to march to the beet of our own drum).
Here at The Beet, we do satirical pieces targeting topics relevant to the Berkeley Campus. Most of the time it's lighthearted silliness, but we're also looking to draw attention to some of the more important issues at Berkeley while still keeping it funny. After all, satire can be a powerful tool to draw awareness to serious social issues. If you're interested in joining our little band, here's an application for you to fill out if you want to get all up in our funny business.
Even if you're not a comedy writer or considered a funny person, we have openings in marketing, social media, design and procrastination (app for the last one coming soon).
