Men of St. Aloysius aged 21 and older are invited to prayerfully consider an opportunity to attend the next Men’s ACTS Retreat.  The Retreat’s goals are to strengthen our faith and its application in our daily lives, to renew ourselves spiritually, and to build strong lasting friendships with men of faith. ACTS, which is an acronym for Adoration, Community, Theology and Service, is a nationwide retreat series started by Catholic men in San Antonio, Texas in 1987.  It has been active in St. Aloysius Parish since 2016. Nearly 200 men (& 200 women) in our Parish have already attended an ACTS Retreat.  

The ACTS weekend is presented by lay Catholic men (St. Aloysius parishioners) with support provided by a Spiritual Director (Father Randy for this retreat). The Retreat begins Thursday, September 27, with check-in between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall at St. Aloysius.  Transportation to and from Rosaryville will be provided. We will return to St. Aloysius on Sunday, September 30 for the 11:00 a.m. Mass with a reception following the Mass in the Parish Hall.  Your families are encouraged and invited to participate in the Return Mass and following reception.  

Space on the retreat is limited to 36 retreatants. Following the application deadline, all applications will be prayerfully gathered and 36 retreatants will be selected by the Holy Spirit via the hands of Father Randy, who will draw names from the pool of applicants. First priority is given to St. Aloysius parishioners. After the 36 spots are filled, an ordered waiting list is maintained to fill any vacancies that may occur.

The cost of the Retreat is $250.00. This application form, along with a $75 deposit made payable to “St. Aloysius,” must be submitted to be considered for a spot.  All deposits should be dropped off to the St. Aloysius Parish Office (2025 Stuart Ave, Baton Rouge, LA, 70808) either in person or by mail no later than noon Friday August 17th.  The remaining balance will be due at the Thursday evening check-in. Please note: financial difficulties should not prevent anyone from attending the Retreat. If you need scholarship assistance, please make note of that below.  

Applications will be accepted through 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17. Applicants who do not get a spot on the Retreat will have their deposits returned and are encouraged and invited to apply again for the next Retreat.
 
You will receive notice of your selection or your position on the wait list within 2-3 days of the selection on August 17.  If you are selected, you will receive a letter about two weeks prior to the retreat describing the necessities you should bring on the Retreat.
