The Associated Press Media Editors Foundation is offering diversity scholarships to attend the Murfreesboro, Tennessee, NewsTrain workshop on Sept. 30-Oct. 1, 2016. Journalists, journalism students and journalism educators from diverse backgrounds are invited to apply. Successful applicants for these competitive awards will have their $75 registration fee waived; they must pay their own travel expenses. Please apply BY AUG. 25, 2016. To apply, complete and submit this online application AND email a resume and up to three work samples and/or journalism-class assignments to Val Hoeppner, director of Middle Tennessee State University's Center for Innovation in Media, at val.hoeppner@mtsu.edu.
