Ukulele Youth Choir

Ukulele Youth Choir for ages 9-14 is back! We'll tackle all the basics on how to play the ukulele, including how to tune, hold, strum, chord and sing with your instrument. We'll begin with simple two-chord songs, building skills and adding confidence, step by step. Students with some ukulele skills already under their belt will learn chord inversions and fancier strumming to match the songs to their skill levels. Class will conclude with one or more performances (at least one for family). Space is limited to twenty students. Tuition for 12 weeks is $84 (music for class is included), due upon registration by Venmo @mryantaylor or PayPal to mryantaylor@gmail.com

Students need to provide their own ukulele (though we do have a few loaner ukuleles students can use in class until theirs arrives, if needed). The Enya Nova ukulele available at https://amzn.to/3tzogkh comes highly recommended by the instructor as a first ukulele with strap that plays easily and has good tuning. Each family will need a clip-on electronic tuner as well.

Students need to provide their own ukulele and have access to an electronic clip-on tuner.

Concert dress is a white shirt or blouse with dark pants or a skirt.

I give permission for my child’s picture to be used for advertising or other purposes (ie. programs, flyers, newspaper articles, etc.).

I release any and all rights to any recordings the choir makes to the copyright holders of the performed works without remuneration.
