That’s Not Fair!: Ma’yan’s Social Justice Apprenticeship returns for a third season, this time using comic books to examine issues related to privilege and inequality. Apprentices will learn about the concepts of power, privilege, oppression and feminism while working together to create a group comic book. Alongside Ma’yan staff we will be joined by Jewels Smith, teacher and creator of “(H)afrocentric: the Comic” No experience with art, writing or comic books is necessary!

February through June 2016, 10 sessions on Thursday evenings at the JCC Manhattan. Program Cost: $300. No one turned away for lack of funds.
