Eggster 2015-2016 Beneficiary Application
Eggster is a not-for-profit organization comprised of UC Berkeley students that seek to improve the community  through service and innovation.  All activities performed by the club are 100% student-initiated, organized and staffed.  We aim to serve and benefit the community by organizing a fun-filled educational event that is free for all children and families in the Bay Area, along with raising funds to assist local youth-orientated non-profit agencies. As university students, we appreciate the advantages of higher education and wish to encourage children to seek this opportunity as well. Our goals are to encourage early childhood development and inspire the pursuit of higher education through our event and by supporting local agencies that also serve this cause.

On behalf of all members of Eggster Organization at University of California, Berkeley, we would like to extend an opportunity for you to become a beneficiary of our 22nd Annual Learning Festival and Egg Hunt. This is a public event that includes egg hunts, entertainment, and various learning activities. Proceeds from corporate sponsors and donations are not only used to keep this event completely free, but to support non-profit agencies such as yours. Over the past twenty-two years, our event has attracted over 24,000 children and raised over $126,000. The upcoming 2016 Eggster event will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2015.

Each year, two agencies are chosen as beneficiaries for our fundraising.  Past beneficiaries have gained public exposure, volunteer services, and additional funding.  We choose beneficiaries on the basis of merit and financial need and its contribution and services to youths in the Bay Area.  Your application is crucial to our selection process.  The more we learn about your agency through this application, the better we are able to gauge how Eggster may contribute to your cause.  Applications must be received by Saturday, December 19, 2015.  Selected agencies will be notified via primary contact by Wednesday December 30, 2015. Beneficiaries are expected to attend three mandatory scheduled agency meetings and to create/staff a booth for our learning festival in April.
