Dartmouth Coalition For Immigration Reform, Equality and DREAMers (CoFIRED) 15X and 2015 - 2016 Executive Committee Application
Thank you for your interest in joining Dartmouth CoFIRED. This is an application to become an officer for CoFIRED for 15X -- 16S. For a detailed description of the positions available, please visit: http://goo.gl/NH9Oh4. Please read the following items carefully.

The 2014-15 committee has decided to be active this summer (15X) and "inactive" (16W). All 15X meetings will be open to campus as we will begin to plan the 6th Annual Collegiate Alliance for Immigration Reform conference hosted by yours truly in the fall (15F). 16W is a transitionary period in which positions are temporarily suspended and the organization is transformed to a horizontal committee to plan for the next initiatives. For 15W, we planned 15S' Operation Butterfly!

The 15X Executive Committee is a continuation and restructuring of the 2014-2015 Executive Committee, and consists of the following members:
Co-Directors: Oscar Cornejo '17 & Dennise Hernandez '17
Alliance Co-Directors: Two Positions Open
Co-Director of Resources: Hassan Hassen '18 & (Open)
Director of Finances: Josefina Ruiz '17
Secretary: Estefani Marin '17
Director of Communications: Vanessa Soncco 18'
Historian: Open

The following members will comprise the 2015-2016 Executive Committee:

Co-Directors: Dennise Hernandez '17 & Halimo Hassen '17
Alliance Co-Directors: Melissa Padilla '16 & Yaritza Gonzales '15
Co-Directors of Resources: Hassan Hassen '18 & Shashwat Kala '18
Director of Finances: Josefina Ruiz '17
Secretary: OPEN
Director of Communications: Barbara Olachea '19
Historian: Ruben Gallardo '18

Thus ONE position is open: Secretary
Currently, based on the D-Plan of officers, the positions will be shifted during 16S. Thus if you are unable to join now, positions will be open again in 16S.

Your application will be reviewed by the previous board of CoFIRED. Only undergraduate students may serve on the executive committee. The applicant must also serve for at least 2 consecutive terms (Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer) since the term they started.

However, 15X is a unique term, and joining in the summer does not activate this policy, and you may only serve in that term.

If you apply for 15F - 16S you must serve at least one more time in the next term you will be in residence (either 16W, or 16S) - exceptions for graduating seniors.

Generally, the time commitment for CoFIRED will be 2 hours (depending on the position) per week and meetings last about 60-90 minutes. On rare occasions, we will meet for 2 hours in one meeting, no more than that. We meet every week at a time most convenient for all. The 2015-2016 CoFIRED Advisor is Professor Douglas Moody.
