Let's act on water - report leakages
If you find a place on campus where water is being wasted through leakages or overflows, please report it using this form. We'll forward it to the engineering department. Please also make sure to check the leak every couple of days and let us know if it has been fixed.

The kind of problem *
Where? *
Please specify exact location. Eg: "3rd tap from the left, 1st floor, left wing, MH-J" or "Tank overflow, roof, left wing, MH-J". Incorrect: "tap in MH-J". Please include any other relevant information, for eg., observed timings of tank overflow.
Urgency *
This helps prioritise action. Please select the nature of water leakage, regardless of whether intermittent or consistent.
Add a picture? (optional)
Click a picture of the leak with a phone or camera. Please use a photo-hosting site to upload an image, and give a direct link or URL here. You can use any service. www.postimg.org and www.imgur.com are easy to use services; it takes just a few seconds to upload an image. You can also submit the form without an image, and post an image later using the edit form link mailed to you.
Add rate of flow?  (optional)
Easy way to measure the flow: take a small bottle which has the volume written on it (eg: a 500ml water/soft drink bottle). Use a stopwatch or a watch to find out how long it takes for the bottle to fill up, using the leakage as the source of water. Provide the volume and time here. Eg: 120 seconds for 500ml. Although this question is optional, adding this information will greatly help to approximate how much water is being wasted on campus each day.
Please share your email *
We will send you a link to edit your response, or to check the "Resolved" field below when a leak has been fixed. Your email will not be disclosed.
Resolved?
Please check this box only when the leak has been fixed. Leave this unchecked when submitting this form for the first time. When the leak has been fixed, use the link you receive in your email to return to this form and check this box. Do remember to save/submit the form after checking this field.
Thank you for your initiative!
Do keep an eye on the leak, and edit this form to check the "Resolved" field if the leak has been fixed.

If you can, please register the same complaint in the nearest available complaint book (if it's a building, each building will have a book. If it's an open area, the nearest substation.) You can also pressurise the supervisor/person-in-charge of the building or substation to call the engineering department and get the leak fixed at the earliest.
